First car?
First loves die hard, man. The car I consider my real first (because I had it forever. It was actually my second car) was a cavalier sedan. That thing took a beating and kept on ticking. I miss that car every day.

Yup. Truly the King of K-Cars.
I was one of about three or four convertibles in the whole high school of 2,000+. Winters were...exciting. Having to scrape the outside windshield...then the inside of the windshield...then the door locking mechanism would freeze, so a left turn would become “Woah, passenger door swinging open; time to lean over and hold it closed as I drive with freezing wet hair after swim practice.”
I do not know the magic of Cavaliers. I have ridden in an early-nineties Malibu and I think a Beretta would be fun. Anything memorable?

It’s an econobox. Mine was no frills, except it had a CD player and automatic door locks. Woot!
The car itself wasn’t memorable on its own, but the memories I had in/around/because of that car are why I love it.
Like the time I got it stuck at the beach and some high school aged kids who were driving past stopped to help push it back onto firmer sand.
Or how I practically lived in that car for years because my job required so much driving. Or the road trips I took in it just for fun.
Or how, no matter what I did to it (I wasn’t very knowledgeable about cars then, so my maintenance on it was spotty), it just kept trucking like nothing.

The City keeps changing so much. It’s like they make one every two years now.
